The Real Alcázar hosted the final official event of the 36th edition of the Seville race to honour the top athletes by category, para-athletes, and the leading Andalusian and Sevillian runners.
The XXXVI Zurich Seville Marathon officially brought down the curtain this Tuesday with its Awards Gala. After doing the same on Sunday with the elite runners and the wheelchair division, it was now the turn of the remaining categories of a race that once again surpassed nearly all its historical records, with 13,800 participants, close to 10,500 finishers, over 4,000 visitors and 2,000 women, in addition to breaking the absolute men's and women's course records.
The Admiral’s Hall of the Royal Alcázars of Seville took over from the Paseo de las Delicias, the start and finish area of the Sevillian race, to present acknowledgements to the top finishers in up to 16 categories, from sub20 to Master 75, as well as athletes with disabilities, Andalusian and Sevillian runners, and the top three clubs.
The event was attended by the Delegate for Ecological Transition and Sports, David Guevara, accompanied by the manager of the Municipal Sports Institute, Manuel Nieto, as well as representatives of the brands Zurich, Hipotecas.com, Martimar, Coca-Cola and ABC, sponsors and partners of the Zurich Seville Marathon.
