5K Breakfast Run Regulations – Zurich Seville Marathon 2027

ARTICLE 1. PRESENTATION

The Municipal Sports Institute of the City Council of Seville, together with SPORT LIFE IBÉRICA S.A., organizes the VI 5K Breakfast Run – Zurich Seville Marathon, to be held on Saturday, February 20, 2027, at 9:30 a.m., in which all persons over 12 years of age who wish to do so may participate without any distinction.

ARTICLE 2. DISTANCE

The course will measure 5,000 meters and will be properly certified. This race is held under the World Athletics and RFEA Road Race Regulations. The route will be marked and signposted vertically every kilometer.

ARTICLE 3. COURSE

START: PLAZA DE AMÉRICA.

ROUTE: PLAZA DE AMÉRICA (LEAVING THE SQUARE ON THE LEFT), PASEO DE LAS DELICIAS, AVENIDA DE LA PALMERA, AVENIDA DEL CARDENAL ILUNDÁIN, AVENIDA DE MANUEL SIUROT, AVENIDA DE LA BORBOLLA, AVENIDA DE PORTUGAL, GLORIETA DEL CID (LEAVING IT ON THE RIGHT), AVENIDA ISABEL LA CATÓLICA (FURTHEST LANE FROM PLAZA DE ESPAÑA), PLAZA DE ESPAÑA, AVENIDA ISABEL LA CATÓLICA (FURTHEST LANE FROM PLAZA DE ESPAÑA), GLORIETA DE COVADONGA, AVENIDA DE DON PELAYO, FULL LOOP AROUND PLAZA AMÉRICA (LEAVING THE SQUARE ON THE RIGHT).

FINISH: PLAZA DE AMÉRICA.

ARTICLE 4. SCHEDULE

The Start will be given at 9:30 a.m. and the maximum time to complete the race is 1 hour, so the Finish will close at 10:30 a.m.

ARTICLE 5. WHEELED DEVICES AND EQUIPMENT

The use of any wheeled device or equipment during the race is not permitted (including handbikes), except for wheelchairs of disabled athletes, certified by the Federation and officially admitted by the Organization. The latter must wear a helmet.

ARTICLE 6. REGISTRATION

6.1. REGISTRATION PERIOD:

From the opening of registrations until Wednesday, February 17, 2027, at 23:59 or until the 3,500 available bibs are sold out.

6.2. REGISTRATION FEES AND DEADLINES:

  • Special opening offer. From May 6 to June 15, 2026 or until available bibs are sold out: €10
  • From June 16 to August 31, 2026 or until available bibs are sold out: €12.
  • From September 1 to October 31, 2026 or until available bibs are sold out: €14
  • From November 1 to December 31, 2026 or until available bibs are sold out: €16
  • From January 1 to February 17, 2027 at 23:59 or until available bibs are sold out: €18
  • At the expo, on February 19, 2027 and on race morning at the race SOLUTIONS area: €20

An additional €4 for the “day license” of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA) must be added to all the above registrations, from which all participants holding an Andalusian or national federation license or the Runner Plus card will be exempt.

From 00:01 on Thursday, February 18, 2027, online registrations will not be accepted.

6.3. HOW TO REGISTER:

Online at www.zurichmaratonsevilla.es, in the registration section of the 5K Breakfast Run – Zurich Seville Marathon 2027.

6.4. CONSIDERATIONS:

  • Registration is personal and non-transferable and implies full acceptance of the Technical Regulations of the race.
  • Under no circumstances, once registration has been completed, may participation be transferred to another person due to inability to participate in the race or for any other reason.
  • Once registration has been completed, the fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.
  • Registrations completed before January 24, 2027 will include on the bib the name provided by the participant in the “Bib nickname” section of the registration form.
  • The registration limit for the 5K Breakfast Run – Zurich Seville Marathon 2027 is 3,500 runners.

6.5. CANCELLATION GUARANTEE.

Once registration has been completed, the fee will not be refunded under any circumstances. At the time of registering, the runner may purchase a cancellation guarantee for their registration, with three options, and must select one when registering:

1) I do not want any guarantee

2) Premium cancellation guarantee. Cost: €3. Refund of 100% of the registration fee until January 30, 2027.

General conditions of the cancellation guarantee:

  • The cancellation guarantee may only be purchased at the time of registration.
  • The cancellation guarantee fee is non-refundable
  • Ownership changes will not be accepted.

7.1. CATEGORIES

The following categories are established:

  • Overall Men’s and Women’s Classification.
  • Sub 14 M / F: Born in 2014 and 2015 (over 12 years old on race day)
  • Sub 16 M / F: Born in 2012 and 2013
  • Sub 18 M / F: Born in 2010 and 2011
  • Sub 20 M / F: Born in 2008 and 2009
  • Sub 23 M / F: Born from 2005 to 2007
  • Senior M / F: Born from 2004 up to Master (35 years)
  • Master M 35 / F 35: From 35 to 39 years
  • Master M 40 / F 40: From 40 to 44 years
  • Master M 45/ F 45: From 45 to 49 years
  • Master M 50/ F 50: From 50 to 54 years
  • Master M 55/ F 55: From 55 to 59 years
  • Master M 60/ F 60: From 60 to 64 years
  • Master M 65/ F 65: From 65 to 69 years
  • Master M 70/ F 70: From 70 to 74 years
  • Master M 75/ F 75: From 75 to 79 years
  • Master M 80/ F 80: From 80 to 85 years
  • Master M 85/ F 85: Over 85 years.
  • Disabled Athlete in Wheelchair M/ F
  • Physically/Intellectually Disabled Athlete M/ F

* All indicated ages must be met on race day.

7.2. RESULTS

The following Results will be produced:

  • Overall Male and Female General Classification.
  • Sub 14 M / F: Born in 2014 and 2015 (over 12 years old on race day)
  • Sub 16 M / F: Born in 2012 and 2013
  • Sub 18 M / F: Born in 2010 and 2011
  • Sub 20 M / F: Born in 2008 and 2009
  • Sub 23 M / F: Born from 2005 to 2007
  • Senior M / F: Born from 2004 up to Master (35 years)
  • Master M 35 / F 35: From 35 to 39 years
  • Master M 40 / F 40: From 40 to 44 years
  • Master M 45/ F 45: From 45 to 49 years
  • Master M 50/ F 50: From 50 to 54 years
  • Master M 55/ F 55: From 55 to 59 years
  • Master M 60/ F 60: From 60 to 64 years
  • Master M 65/ F 65: From 65 to 69 years
  • Master M 70/ F 70: From 70 to 74 years
  • Master M 75/ F 75: From 75 to 79 years
  • Master M 80/ F 80: From 80 to 85 years
  • Master M 85/ F 85: Over 85 years.
  • Wheelchair Athlete with Disabilities M / F
  • Athlete with Physical/Intellectual Disabilities M / F

* All ages indicated must be completed on race day.

ARTICLE 8. TROPHIES

The top 3 finishers in the overall category, both female and male, will receive a trophy.

8.1. PUBLICATION OF RESULTS AND COMPLAINTS

The results will be published on the official event website, https://www.zurichmaratonsevilla.es/, and will be displayed next to the awards area.

Complaints affecting positions in the results must be submitted in writing to the organization within a maximum period of 30 minutes from the publication of the results.

Other complaints must be sent in writing to the Organization’s email Info@zurichmaratondesevilla.es, before the Wednesday following the race.

The Organization will communicate the resolutions affecting the results within a maximum period of 10 days, after which the results will be considered final. Therefore, all trophies and prizes will be provisional until that moment.

ARTICLE 9. BIB NUMBERS

Bib numbers may only be collected at the Runner’s Expo, which will be held at FIBES in Seville on Friday, February 19, 2027, from 10:00 to 20:00 (non-stop).

To collect the bib, runners must present the registration receipt or a copy of it, and their ID card, passport, or another official document proving their identity.

No bib numbers will be delivered on race day.

Bib numbers must be worn clearly visible on the front of the torso throughout the entire race and may not be modified.

Bib numbers include a disposable chip, so they must not be folded or tampered with.

ARTICLE 10. DISQUALIFICATIONS

Grounds for disqualification:

  • Providing false information during registration (age, residence, etc.).
  • Not completing the full course.
  • Not passing through the checkpoints located on the course.
  • Not wearing the bib number clearly visible on the chest, or altering or hiding its advertising.
  • Running with a bib and/or chip assigned to another runner.
  • Not following the instructions of the judges and/or Organization staff.
  • Having lent your bib to be photocopied and used by another runner in the marathon.
  • Displaying unsportsmanlike behavior.

ARTICLE 11. AID STATIONS

Liquid and solid refreshments will be provided to runners in the post-finish area designated for this purpose. 

ARTICLE 12. MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

The 5K Breakfast Run – Zurich Maratón de Sevilla 2027 will have the necessary Medical Services to attend to runners during its development. The Organization recommends that all participants undergo a Medical Check-up prior to the race, with every participant accepting the risks inherent to sports activity.

Likewise, the athlete declares they are in optimal physical condition to take part in this race and does so under their own responsibility.

Any athlete with health issues is required to notify the Organization in advance in writing, mark their bib with a red cross, and state on it their name, address, phone number, and the health condition they suffer from. For their safety, they must notify this prior to race day in writing (indicating their bib number).

The Medical Services will be authorized to withdraw any runner showing signs of poor physical condition.

ARTICLE 13. BAGGAGE SERVICE

The Organization will provide a baggage service where runners may leave their belongings, and will not be held responsible for the items deposited there.

The Organization’s Baggage Service staff may ask runners to open their bags before depositing them, to inspect their contents. If a runner refuses to open a bag, the Organization may decline to collect it.

ARTICLE 14. AUTHORIZED VEHICLES

The only vehicles allowed to follow the race will be those accredited by the Organization. It is strictly forbidden to follow the runners in any type of motorized or wheeled vehicle (skates, bicycles, etc.), with the Local Police of Seville expressly ordered to remove them from the course. A sweep vehicle will be available at the back of the race to pick up runners who, for any reason, do not wish or are unable to continue, and runners who cannot maintain the planned cutoff pace must board it or withdraw from the race, following the instructions of any member of the Organization.

ARTICLE 15. UNAUTHORIZED DEMONSTRATION

Any type of demonstration by individuals that may put at risk the safety of participants and the holding of the event is prohibited, and such individuals will be removed by law enforcement.

ARTICLE 16. ACCEPTANCE OF THE REGULATIONS

All participants, by completing their registration, accept these REGULATIONS. In case of doubt, the Organization’s criteria will prevail.

ARTICLE 17. PUBLICATION ACCEPTANCE (DATA PROTECTION POLICY)

In compliance with the provisions of Article 5 of Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on the protection of personal data and guarantee of digital rights, we inform you that your personal data will be processed and incorporated into files under the responsibility of the Municipal Sports Institute of Seville, as well as SPORT LIFE IBÉRICA S.A, registered with the Spanish Data Protection Agency. The collection and processing of personal data, incorporated into the files, is aimed at registering participants and providing them with information on all matters related to the Seville marathon.

The Municipal Sports Institute of Seville and SPORT LIFE IBÉRICA S.A. commit to complying with the obligations regarding technical, organizational and security measures set out in the implementing Regulation of Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on the protection of personal data and guarantee of digital rights.

The personal data provided, as well as any images that may be captured during the event, will be used for the purpose of the event itself, as well as for its dissemination and for the final race results, in which name, surname, category and nationality will appear.

Likewise, given that the race is part of the National and International Official Calendar of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation and that the contract signed with the data processor provides for the commercial exploitation of the activity by the latter, the following transfers are expressly authorized: the transfer of your data to the Spanish Athletics Federation for the fulfillment of its own purposes; and the use of images obtained during the event so that they may be used in any type of format and/or media (print, web, communications, video, etc.) in accordance with the purposes herein expressly consented.

By completing the registration, you declare that you have been informed of the terms contained herein and you expressly consent to your personal data being processed for the aforementioned purposes.
