WHEN AND WHERE IS THE ZURICH SEVILLE MARATHON 2026 HELD?

The Zurich Seville Marathon 2026 will take place on February 15, 2026 in the city of Seville, with the start at 08:30 from María Luisa Avenue, at the height of the Casibno de la Exposición. The Finish Line will be located on Paseo de las Delicias, at the Buenos Aires Roundabout.

IS THERE A TIME LIMIT TO FINISH THE RACE?

Yes. The time limit to finish the marathon is 6 hours from the start of the last runner, with the finish line closing at 15:00.

WHAT ARE THE REGISTRATION PERIODS?

From April 7, 2025, until Monday, February 9, 2026, at 23:59 h or until the 17,000 available bib numbers are sold out.

WHERE CAN I SIGN UP?

On the official event website, www.zurichmaratonsevilla.es, in the "Registrations" section.

WHAT ARE THE CATEGORIES?

The following categories are established:

  • Sub 20 M / F: Born in 2007 and 2008 (of legal age on race day)
  • Sub 23 M / F: Born from 2004 to 2006
  • Senior M / W): Born from 2003 up to Master (35 years)
  • Master M 35 / F 35: From 35 to 39 years
  • Master M 40 / F 40: From 40 to 44 years
  • Master M 45/ F 45: From 45 to 49 years
  • Master M 50/ F 50: From 50 to 54 years
  • Master M 55/ F 55: From 55 to 59 years
  • Master M 60/ F 60: From 60 to 64 years
  • Master M 65/ F 65: From 65 to 69 years
  • Master M 70/ F 70: From 70 to 74 years
  • Master M 75/ F 75: From 75 to 79 years
  • Master M 80/ F 80: From 80 to 85 years

WHERE AND WHEN ARE THE BIB NUMBERS AND RUNNER'S BAG DISTRIBUTED?

Bib numbers and the Runner's Bag will be handed out exclusively at the EXPO MARATHON (FIBES, Avda. Alcalde Luis Uruñuela, 1, CP 41020 Seville), uninterrupted hours on Friday, February 13 from 10:00 to 20:00 and on Saturday, February 14, 2026 from 10:00 to 20:00. Access is free for runners and companions.

WHAT DO I NEED TO PICK UP THE BIB NUMBER AND RUNNER'S BAG?

To collect the bib number, you must present the registration receipt/copy and your ID/Passport or another document proving the runner's identity. To collect the runner's bag, you must be in possession of the bib number.

If a runner cannot collect their bib number, it may be collected by another person as long as they bring the receipt or a copy of the registration plus a photocopy of the ID and an authorization signed by the runner.

Under no circumstances will bib numbers or the runner's bag be delivered on race day.

WHAT DOES THE RUNNER'S BAG INCLUDE?

The runner's bag includes the official technical apparel of the Zurich Seville Marathon 2026, the mandatory bag for use in the bag drop, sticker for the bag drop bag, sponge, AIMS magazine, plus various gifts provided by the Marathon sponsors.

WHAT CHIP IS USED AND WHEN IS IT COLLECTED?

The chip for the 41st edition of the Zurich Seville Marathon will be a bib-chip, which will be attached to the back of the bib number. It does not need to be returned once the race is over.

IS IT MANDATORY TO FILL IN THE INFORMATION ON THE BACK OF THE BIB?

Yes. In case of a medical emergency, having that information correctly filled in will allow for faster and more efficient action in case of allergies, any condition that must be known, or to notify a family member or acquaintance more quickly.

IS THERE A BAG DROP SERVICE?

Yes. The organization will provide a bag drop service. It will be located on Avenida Santiago Montoto, in the port of Seville, near the Aquarium. Hours will be from 6:45 to 15:30.

ARE THERE TOILETS? WHERE ARE THEY LOCATED?

Yes. The organization will provide portable toilets located in the Start and Finish areas, as well as at various points along the course (kilometers 5, 10, 15, half marathon, 25, 30, 35, and 40).

WHERE ARE THE AID STATIONS LOCATED?

There will be aid stations at the following points along the course:

  • KM 4.6: Located on both sides of the road. Aid station with water and isotonic drink (Aquarius). There will be a medical assistance post and portable toilets.
  • KM 7.3: Located on both sides of the road. Aid station with water and isotonic drink (Aquarius).
  • KM 9.4: Located on both sides of the road. Aid station with water and isotonic drink (Aquarius). There will be a medical assistance post and portable toilets.
  • KM 11.8: Located on both sides of the road. Aid station with water and isotonic drink (Aquarius).
  • KM 15.3: Located on both sides of the road. Aid station with water and isotonic drink (Aquarius). There will be a medical assistance post and portable toilets.
  • KM 18: Located on both sides of the road. Aid station with water and isotonic drink (Aquarius).
  • KM 20.7: Located on both sides of the road. Aid station with water, isotonic drink (Aquarius), and 226ERS gels. There will be a medical assistance post and portable toilets.
  • KM 22.7: Located on both sides of the road. Aid station with water and isotonic drink. Sponges.
  • KM 25.4: Located on both sides of the road. Aid station with water and isotonic drink (Aquarius). There will be a medical assistance post and portable toilets, as well as solid food.
  • KM 27.4: Located on both sides of the road. Aid station with water, isotonic drink (Aquarius).
  • KM 29.6: Located on both sides of the road. Aid station with water and isotonic drink (Aquarius), gels and 226ERS energy gummies, as well as solid food. There will be a medical assistance post and portable toilets.
  • KM 32.7: Located on both sides of the road. Aid station with water and isotonic drink (Aquarius). Sponges.
  • KM 34: Located on both sides of the road. Aid station with water, isotonic drink (Aquarius), as well as solid food. There will be a medical assistance post and portable toilets.
  • KM 36.8: Located on the left side of the road. Aid station with water and isotonic drink (Aquarius), as well as solid food.
  • KM 40.3: Located on both sides of the road. Aid station with water and isotonic drink (Aquarius), as well as solid food. There will be a medical assistance post and portable toilets.
  • FINISH LINE: Aid station with water and isotonic drink (Powerade) and solid food. There will be a medical assistance post and portable toilets.

Important:

  • The aid stations are designed to accommodate the 17,000 marathon runners. At all of them there will be a large number of tables on which the product will rest. Runners are asked not to take drinks from the first tables in the first aid station areas in order to avoid congestion.
  • At Kilometer Points 22.7 and 32.7 there will be sponges as well as water and isotonic drinks.

WHERE IS THE RUNNER’S EXPO (EXPO MARATHON) HELD?

The EXPO MARATHON will take place at FIBES (Seville Conference and Exhibition Center. Avda. Alcalde Luis Uruñuela, 1. 41020 Seville), with uninterrupted hours on Friday, February 13 from 10:00 to 20:00 and on Saturday, February 14, 2026 from 10:00 to 20:00. Access is free for runners and companions.

SHOULD I READ THE RACE RULES?

Yes. The rules of the Marathon are set out in the regulations, and all participants are required to know and comply with them. Not knowing the regulations does not exempt you from complying with them.

CAN SOMEONE ACCOMPANY ME BY BIKE DURING THE MARATHON?

NO. It is strictly forbidden to follow runners on motorbikes or bicycles. The Local Police have express orders to remove from the course anyone who fails to comply with this rule, in order to prevent any accidents to the runners themselves, the public, or members of the organization.

ARE THERE STARTING CORRALS?

Yes. There will be starting corrals for the times WORLD ELITE, SUB ELITE, Sub 2h 45’, Sub 3h, Sub 3h 15’, Sub 3h 30’, Sub 3h 45’, Sub 4h and over 4h. To access these corrals, it is necessary to inform the organization at the time of registration which corral you wish to enter and provide your verified personal best, which must be equal to or faster than the time of the corral you wish to access (only times achieved in the last 2 years and in certified Marathon and Half Marathon races will be accepted).

ARE THERE START WAVES?

Yes. The Zurich Seville Marathon 2026 plans to carry out the start in five waves in order to improve the comfort and safety of all runners, according to the order of verified times. Every participant will receive, sufficiently in advance by email, notification of the wave assigned, which will also be indicated on the bib.

  • At 8:30 a.m. athletes under 2h45:00 will start.
  • At 8:34 a.m. athletes between 2h45:00 and 3h14:59 will start.
  • At 8:40 a.m. athletes between 3h15:00 and 3h29:59 will start.
  • At 8:47 a.m. athletes between 3h30:00 and 3h44:59 will start.
  • At 8:52 a.m. athletes from 3h45:00 onwards will start.
  • Wheelchair athletes will start earlier in the first wave.

ARE HALF MARATHON TIMES ALSO VALID TO QUALIFY FOR AND ACCESS THE EXISTING STARTING CORRALS?

Yes, Half Marathon times will be accepted as valid as long as they are achieved in certified races and within the last two years. The equivalences would be sub 1h01’ (men’s world elite), sub 1h07’ (women’s world elite), sub 1h 05' (men’s elite), sub 1h 13' (women’s elite), sub 1h 15’ (sub 2h 45’), sub 1h 22’ (sub 3h), sub 1h 28’ (sub 3h 15’), sub 1h 35’ (sub 3h 30’), sub 1h 40’ (sub 3h 45’) and sub 1h 45’ (sub 4h).

Regarding the assignment of starting corrals, the Organization will allow editing of the times entered in the registration form until January 18, 2026. After that date, it will not be possible to change corrals. No changes to starting corrals will be made at the EXPO MARATHON.

ARE THERE PACERS?

Yes. The organization will provide pacers for the times 2:45 h, 3:00 h, 3:15 h, 3:30 h, 3:45 h, 4:00 h, 4:30 h and 5:00 h. They will be positioned at the front of the corresponding corral for their target time and will be identified with a flag and a customized T-shirt.

CAN I PERSONALIZE THE FINISHER MEDAL?

The request for engraving the Finisher medal will be available online until Sunday, January 18, 2026 at 23:59 h. Once this deadline has passed, you may request engraving at the Expo Marathon, at the Todotrofeo booth, at a price of €10.
