5K Breakfast Run Regulations - Zurich Seville Marathon 2026

ARTICLE 1. PRESENTATION

The Municipal Sports Institute of the City Council of Seville organizes, together with SPORT LIFE IBÉRICA S.A., the V 5K Breakfast Run - Zurich Seville Marathon, to be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 9:30 a.m., in which all persons over 12 years old who wish to participate may do so without any distinction.

ARTICLE 2. DISTANCE

The course will measure 5,000 meters and will be duly certified. This race is held under the World Athletics Road Race Regulations and the RFEA. The route will be marked and signposted every kilometer vertically.

ARTICLE 3. COURSE

START: PLAZA DE AMÉRICA.

ROUTE: FULL LAP AROUND PLAZA DE AMÉRICA (KEEPING THE SQUARE ON THE LEFT), PASEO DE LAS DELICIAS, AVENIDA DE LA PALMERA, AVENIDA DEL CARDENAL ILUNDÁIN, AVENIDA DE MANUEL SIUROT, AVENIDA DE LA BORBOLLA, AVENIDA DE PORTUGAL, GLORIETA DEL CID (KEEPING IT ON THE RIGHT), AVENIDA ISABEL LA CATÓLICA (FURTHEST LANE FROM PLAZA DE ESPAÑA), PLAZA DE ESPAÑA, AVENIDA ISABEL LA CATÓLICA (FURTHEST LANE FROM PLAZA DE ESPAÑA), GLORIETA DE COVADONGA, AVENIDA DE DON PELAYO, PLAZA AMÉRICA (KEEPING THE SQUARE ON THE RIGHT).

FINISH: PLAZA DE AMÉRICA.

ARTICLE 4. SCHEDULE

The Start will be given at 9:30 a.m. and the maximum time to complete the race is 1 hour, so the Finish will close at 10:30 a.m.

ARTICLE 5. WHEELED DEVICES AND GEAR

The use of any wheeled device or gear is not allowed during the race (including handbikes), except for wheelchairs used by disabled athletes, certified by the Federation and officially authorized by the Organization. The latter must wear a helmet.

ARTICLE 6. REGISTRATION

6.1. REGISTRATION PERIOD:

From the opening of registrations until Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 23:59 or until the 3,000 available bib numbers are sold out.

6.2. REGISTRATION FEES AND DEADLINES:

  • Special opening offer. From May 16 to June 15, 2025 or until bib numbers are sold out: €9
  • From June 16 to August 31, 2025 or until bib numbers are sold out: €11 €.
  • From September 1 to October 31, 2025 or until bib numbers are sold out: €13

From November 1 to December 31, 2025 or until bib numbers are sold out: €15 €

  • From January 1 to February 11, 2026 at 23:59 or until bib numbers are sold out: €17
  • At the expo, on February 14, 2025 and on race morning at the race SOLUTIONS area: €20

All the above registrations must add the €3 “day license” fee from the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA), from which all participants who hold an Andalusian or national federation license or the Runner Plus card are exempt.

From 0:01 a.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026, no online registrations will be accepted.

6.3. HOW TO REGISTER:

Online, at www.zurichmaratonsevilla.es, in the registrations section of the 5K Breakfast Run - Zurich Seville Marathon 2026.

6.4. CONSIDERATIONS:

  • Registration is personal and non-transferable and implies full acceptance of the Technical Regulations of the race.
  • Under no circumstances, once registration has been completed, may participation be transferred to another person due to being unable to take part in the race or for any other reason.
  • Once registration has been completed, the fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.
  • Registrations made before January 24, 2026 will include on the bib the name that the registered person has entered in the “Bib Alias” field of the registration form.
  • The registration limit for the 5K Breakfast Run - Zurich Seville Marathon 2026 is 3,000 runners.

6.5. CANCELLATION GUARANTEE.

Once registration has been completed, the fee will not be refunded under any circumstances. At the moment of registering, the runner may take out a cancellation guarantee for their registration, with three options, and must select one when registering:

1) I do not want any guarantee

2) Premium cancellation guarantee. Cost: €3. Refund of 100% of the registration fee until January 24, 2026.

General conditions of the cancellation guarantee:

  • The cancellation guarantee may only be purchased at the time of registration.
  • The cancellation guarantee fee is non-refundable
  • No changes of ownership will be accepted.

ARTICLE 7. CATEGORIES AND RESULTS

7.1. CATEGORIES

The following categories are established:

  • Overall Male and Female.
  • Under 18 M / F: Born 2009 to 2014 (over 12 years old on race day)
  • Under 20 M / F: Born 2007 and 2008 (of legal age on race day)
  • Under 23 M / F: Born 2004 to 2006
  • Senior M / F: Born from 2003 up to Master (35 years)
  • Master M 35 / F 35: From 35 to 39 years
  • Master M 40 / F 40: From 40 to 44 years
  • Master M 45/ F 45: From 45 to 49 years
  • Master M 50/ F 50: From 50 to 54 years
  • Master M 55/ F 55: From 55 to 59 years
  • Master M 60/ F 60: From 60 to 64 years
  • Master M 65/ F 65: From 65 to 69 years
  • Master M 70/ F 70: From 70 to 74 years
  • Master M 75/ F 75: From 75 to 79 years
  • Master M 80/ F 80: From 80 to 85 years
  • Master M 85/ F 85: Over 85 years.
  • Athlete with Disability in Wheelchair M/ F
  • Athlete with Physical/Intellectual Disability M/ F

* All ages indicated must be reached on race day.

7.2. RESULTS

The following Results will be produced:

  • Overall Male and Female.
  • Under 18 M / F: Born 2009 to 2014 (over 12 years old on race day)
  • Under 20 M / F: Born 2007 and 2008 (of legal age on race day)
  • Under 23 M / F: Born 2004 to 2006
  • Senior M / W): Born from 2003 up to Master (35 years)
  • Master M 35 / F 35: From 35 to 39 years
  • Master M 40 / F 40: From 40 to 44 years
  • Master M 45/ F 45: From 45 to 49 years
  • Master M 50/ F 50: From 50 to 54 years
  • Master M 55/ F 55: From 55 to 59 years
  • Master M 60/ F 60: From 60 to 64 years
  • Master M 65/ F 65: From 65 to 69 years
  • Master M 70/ F 70: From 70 to 74 years
  • Master M 75/ F 75: From 75 to 79 years
  • Master M 80/ F 80: From 80 to 85 years
  • Master M 85/ F 85: Over 85 years.
  • Athlete with Disabilities in Wheelchair M/ F
  • Athlete with Physical/Intellectual Disabilities M/ F

* All indicated ages must be completed on the day of the race.

ARTICLE 8. TROPHIES

The top 3 finishers in the overall category, both female and male, will receive a trophy.

8.1. PUBLICATION OF RESULTS AND CLAIMS

The results will be published on the official event website, https://www.zurichmaratonsevilla.es/, and will be displayed next to the awards area.

Claims affecting positions in the results must be submitted in writing to the organization within a maximum of 30 minutes from the publication of the results.

Other claims must be sent in writing to the Organization's email Info@zurichmaratondesevilla.es, before the Wednesday following the race.

The Organization will communicate decisions affecting the results within a maximum period of 10 days, after which the results will be considered final. Therefore, all trophies and prizes will be provisional until that moment.

ARTICLE 9. BIB NUMBERS

Bib numbers may only be collected at the Runner’s Expo, which will be held at FIBES in Seville on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 10:00 to 20:00 (non-stop).

To collect the bib number, runners must present the receipt or copy of the registration and their ID card, passport, or another official document proving their identity.

Bib numbers will not be handed out on race day.

Bib numbers must be worn clearly visible on the front of the torso throughout the entire race and may not be modified.

Bib numbers include a disposable chip, so they must not be folded or tampered with.

ARTICLE 10. DISQUALIFICATIONS

Disqualification will result from:

  • Providing false information on the registration (age, residence, etc.).
  • Not completing the full course.
  • Not passing through the timing checkpoints located on the course.
  • Not wearing the bib number clearly visible on the chest, or altering or hiding its advertising.
  • Running with a bib number and/or chip assigned to another runner.
  • Not following the instructions of the judges and/or Organization staff.
  • Having given your bib number to be photocopied and used by another runner in the marathon.
  • Displaying unsportsmanlike behavior.

ARTICLE 11. AID STATIONS

Liquid and solid refreshments will be provided to runners in the post-finish area prepared for this purpose.

ARTICLE 12. MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

The 5K Breakfast Run - Zurich Seville Marathon 2026 will have the necessary Medical Services to attend to runners during its development. The Organization recommends that all participants undergo a Medical Check-up prior to the race, with each participant accepting the risks inherent to sporting activity.

Likewise, the athlete declares to be in optimal physical condition to take part in this race and does so under their own responsibility.

Any athlete with health problems is required to notify the Organization in advance in writing, mark their bib number with a red cross, and state on it their name, address, phone number, and health condition. They will be required (for their safety) to communicate it in advance of the event, in writing (indicating their bib number).

Medical Services will be authorized to withdraw any runner who shows signs of poor physical condition.

ARTICLE 13. BAGGAGE SERVICE

The Organization will provide a baggage service where runners may leave their belongings, and will not be responsible for items deposited there.

The Organization’s Baggage Service staff may request runners to open their bags before depositing them, to check their contents. If a runner refuses to open a bag, the Organization may decline to collect it.

ARTICLE 14. AUTHORIZED VEHICLES

The only vehicles allowed to follow the race will be those accredited by the Organization. It is strictly prohibited to follow the runners in any type of motor vehicle or wheeled device (skates, bicycles, etc.), with the Local Police of Seville having express orders to remove them from the course. A sweep vehicle will be positioned at the back of the race to collect runners who for any reason do not wish to or cannot continue, and those unable to maintain the scheduled control closing pace must board it or withdraw from the race, following the instructions of any member of the organization.

ARTICLE 15. UNAUTHORIZED DEMONSTRATIONS

Any type of demonstration that could endanger the safety of participants and the event will be prohibited and removed by law enforcement.

ARTICLE 16. ACCEPTANCE OF THE REGULATIONS

All participants, by completing their registration, accept these REGULATIONS. In case of doubt, the Organization's criteria will prevail.

ARTICLE 17. ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLICATION (DATA PROTECTION POLICY)

In compliance with the provisions of Article 5 of Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on personal data protection and guarantee of digital rights, we inform you that your personal data will be processed and incorporated into files under the responsibility of the Municipal Sports Institute of Seville, as well as SPORT LIFE IBÉRICA S.A, registered with the Spanish Data Protection Agency. The collection and processing of personal data incorporated into the files is intended for participant registration, as well as informing them of all matters related to the Seville Marathon.

The Municipal Sports Institute of Seville and SPORT LIFE IBÉRICA S.A. commit to complying with the obligations regarding technical, organizational, and security measures included in the implementing Regulation of Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on personal data protection and guarantee of digital rights.

The personal data provided, as well as possible images captured during the event, will be used for the purposes of the event itself, as well as for its dissemination and for publishing the final race results, in which name, surname, category, and nationality will appear.

Likewise, given that the race is part of the National and International Official Calendar of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation and that in the contract signed between the data processor and the organizer the commercial exploitation of the activity by the latter is provided for, the following transfers are foreseen and expressly authorized: the transfer of your data to the Spanish Athletics Federation for the fulfillment of its own purposes; and the use of the images obtained during the event so that they may be used in any type of format and/or media (print, web, communications, video, etc.) in accordance with the purposes expressly consented to herein.

By completing the registration, you declare that you have been informed of the terms contained therein and expressly consent that your personal data be processed for the purposes mentioned.
